‘He’s ruining his legacy’ – Jake Paul rips into Conor McGregor in vicious rant after UFC comeback delayed

Jake Paul has renewed his feud with Conor McGregor, insisting the UFC superstar is a ‘finished’ entity.

The ‘Problem Child’ has announced that he will return in a showdown with ex-UFC and bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry on July 20.

It will not be the same for McGregor, who has suffered an injury in the build-up and been forced to postpone his scheduled June 29 comeback fight with Michael Chandler.

In a first face-to-face interview with Perry, Paul was asked if McGregor was invited to their showdown, and responded with a brutal rant.

“Yeah we could get a fourth or fifth row ticket,” Paul replied to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour.

“He’s lost his celebrity and star power. I don’t think people really care about him anymore.

“I would disagree [that he still has star power]. There are new sheriffs in town, he hasn’t won a fight for however long it has been.

“He is embarrassing himself, he is ruining his legacy especially with the way he looks online.

“He’s lost his mind. He’s a maniac. At one point Conor was great, but I feel sorry for him now.

“You can say all this stuff, but he isn’t great and he hasn’t proven anything. That’s the way I look at it from the facts and numbers.”

McGregor has announced he has become an owner of promotion BKFC [Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship] so could have an interest in the fight.

Paul himself has regularly tried to entice McGregor into a feud, with the Irishman only responding on social media on a couple of occasions.

The YouTube star has also regularly called for a mega-money showdown between the pair, but it is highly unlikely given their weight difference.

Despite having picked up only one win in the octagon since 2017, McGregor will still be the biggest name on the roster.

Teammate Peter Queally has revealed he is still in positive spirits and a comeback will be rescheduled around September.

He told talkSPORT: ““It seems like they will endeavour to make that fight in September time.

“Something like that maybe. That’s what I’m hearing.

“That’s what you can look forward to if they can make it happen.”
