‘Mean Girls’ Star Lizzy Caplan Puts Her Longtime Los Angeles Home on the Market for $2.85 Million

Actress Lizzy Caplan is selling her longtime Los Angeles home, which hit the market on Monday for $2.85 million.

The “Mean Girls” and “Fleishman Is in Trouble” star has owned the mid-century home since 2013, when she bought it for $1.8 million using a trust, property records show. Over the past decade, she has “totally renovated” the house, which was built in 1961, said listing agent Patricia Ruben of Sotheby’s International Realty – Los Feliz Brokerage. The New York Post first reported the listing.

Located in the Los Feliz Oaks neighborhood, the modern residence has about 2,000 square feet of living space. Leading into the home, there is a gated private walkway to the front door, which is “flanked by plantings, continuing with the indoor atrium at entrance, [creating] a home of contiguous nature,” Ruben said.

Inside, Caplan has added bold pops of color though emerald-green kitchen cabinets and shower tiles in various shades of blue. Her renovation embraced the home’s mid-century roots with wood accents and large windows and glass doors.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a primary suite that looks out into a leafy atrium and has a walk-in closet off the bathroom.

Outside, there’s a pool that stretches nearly the length of the backyard. Patio space surrounds the pool, with a separate covered seating area providing space to look out at the surrounding view.

Located in the eastern foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, the home is near the Griffith Observatory and the Griffith Park hiking trails.

“The location, conveniently centralized for traveling around the many L.A. spots, is also tucked away, offering great privacy and soulful greenery from the magnificent hills of Los Feliz Griffith Park,” Ruben said.
