Meghan Markle previously revealed that she makes a wish on every birthday – but one year she asked for a very unusual gift to mark her special day.

The Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 is celebrating her 43rd birthday today, with the royal undoubtedly being spoilt by Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Meghan revealed in her old lifestyle blog one thing she does every year, as she once wrote that she uses her birthday to make resolutions for herself – and what she hopes to see in the year ahead.

Writing on now-defunct The Tig in 2016, the mother of two said: “My mom has always said that birthdays are your own personal New Year. Your own chance to make resolutions just for yourself and what you prognosticate for your year ahead.” And according to the blog, the 43-year-old makes the same wish every single birthday.

Speaking of what she wanted for her birthday, she wrote: “More surprises, more adventure, more opportunities to grow, more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes, more delicious meals, and more inspiration. Always more inspiration.”

In 2014, however, when she celebrated her 33rd birthday, Meghan took to her blog to voice one specific gift she wanted from her fans.

As reported by the Mirror, She wrote: “I am 33 years old today. And I am happy. And I say that so plainly because, well… it takes time.”

Meghan continued: “So for my birthday, here’s what I would like as a gift: I want you to be kind to yourself. I want you to challenge yourself. I want you to stop gossiping, to try a food that scares you, to buy a coffee for someone just because, to tell someone you love them… and then to tell yourself right back.

“I want you to find your happiness. I did. And it’s never felt so good.”

The Tig was active for three years, while Meghan was also working as an actress in the US legal drama Suits. The royal announced that her blog was closing down in 2017 – the same year in which she became engaged to Prince Harry.
