Bernard “Bernie” Marcus is putting his Atlanta condo on the market after more than a decade of ownership. The Home Depot co-founder is asking $5 million for the unit located in the Park Avenue high-rise in Buckhead, near Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square. The listing is handled by Nicholas Brown of Compass Georgia.

Marcus and his wife Billi purchased the 37th-floor condo in December 2010 for $3 million. They previously owned a smaller unit in the same building, which they bought in 2010 for $2 million and sold four years later for just under $1.4 million.

After graduating from Rutgers University in 1954, Marcus began his career as a pharmacist before founding The Home Depot in 1978 with Arthur Blank. Since retiring in 2002, he has focused on philanthropy, donating over $2 billion through The Marcus Foundation and planning to leave 90% of his estimated $11 billion fortune to the foundation upon his death.
