Conor McGregor provides major injury update after being probed by ‘bum beggar’ Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor claims he is ready to fight Michael Chandler right now.

The two MMA stars were supposed to clash at UFC 303 on June 29, but McGregor broke his pinky toe in training and pulled out of the fight at the last minute.

‘Notorious’ was recently seen at a Bellator event in slippers and claimed that it was because his foot was so swollen that he couldn’t wear shoes.

However, now things look much better for the former two-weight UFC champion.

On Sunday, McGregor shared footage of him hitting a bag with his bare knuckles and tagged the bare-knuckle boxing promotion he co-owns and wants to fight in one day.

Chandler replied: “But show us the bare foot knuckles…”

McGregor lashed in an insult as he assured Chandler he’s fit and healthy.

He said: “Hey bum beggar. The foot is fully healed.”

UFC CEO Dana White will announce a new date for McGregor vs Chandler soon, and they are expected to fight before the end of 2024.

Rumours about their clash taking place at UFC 310 on December 14 have been swirling and ‘Mystic Mac’ has played into them with recent comments about his fight date.

“My comeback is scheduled for the end of the year,” McGregor told ESPN.

“Sometime the end of this year, closing out the show.

“So, I was close to returning. We had an incident and a postponement had to happen, and you know, it is what it is. We take it on the chin, we rock on.

“The fight is rescheduled for the end of this calendar year. So, I’m excited about that and eager to get back.”

McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

Chandler has been away from the Octagon ever since ‘The Diamond’ choked him out in November 2022 – but he’s not injured and has chosen to remain sidelined.

‘Iron’ is doing everything he can to secure a fight with McGregor and it seems like he will finally get his wish in the next few months.
