Jadon Sancho has sent Jude Bellingham a three-word warning ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final.

Whatever the result, an Englishman will win the most coveted prize in club football with Bellingham at the Bernabeu and Sancho at the Signal Iduna Park.

And as the two prepare to meet each other at Wembley this weekend, Bellingham has revealed Sancho has reached out to him.

Speaking to Real Madrid club media, the midfielder revealed that the Manchester United loanee sent him a simple text which read: “See you there.”

He said: “When we first got through [to the final], I got a little message from Jadon and he said, ‘See you there’.

“Jadon has been someone who has taken me under his wing when I first arrived at Dortmund.

“He’s a really good guy and someone I’ve got a lot of time for.”

While it might not exactly be the longest message, Bellingham and Sancho are good friends having played together at Dortmund.

The duo shared a dressing room in Germany for one season before Sancho signed for United as Dortmund won the DFB-Pokal Cup.

It was up to the flying forward to help a teenage Bellingham settle into life in Germany, acting as his mentor and forging a close bond in the process.

“Sancho is really very important for me. Not only because he comes from the same country as me or because he speaks the same language,” Bellingham told Kicker magazine in 2020.

“Even more important is how he puts his arm around me, but also around the other young players, how he encourages us in our abilities, how he gives us confidence.”

Both went on to secure mega-money moves away as Sancho signed for the Red Devils in a £73million deal, but returned on loan in January having been frozen out of Erik ten Hag’s side.

Bellingham, meanwhile, has gone from strength to strength since signing for Real Madrid last summer and is one of the frontrunners to win the Ballon d’Or this year.

The England international has scored 23 times and assisted 12 in his debut campaign in Spain and could yet add to that total on Saturday.
