Roman Reigns talks dream match vs. The Rock, reveals return date to WWE

On Tuesday morning, the sun shone brightly over the Island of Relevancy as order was restored to the WWE Universe. Roman Reigns is again the undisputed Tribal Chief. He defeated Solo Sikoa in a fierce Tribal Combat match, marking the start of a new era for WWE and Raw on Netflix.

Though their face-off turned into a kumbaya moment, many believe it planted the seeds for a long-awaited dream match at WrestleMania. At the Raw post-show press conference, Reigns addressed whether what audiences saw was a sign of things to come. However, he playfully deflected, leaving it to the media to make such predictions.

While fans might have to wait a little longer to see where a potential story between the two chiefs leads, they won’t have to wait long to see Reigns again. During Raw, Paul Heyman said to Reigns, “We need a platform from which the whole world can acknowledge you. When can I book that on your calendar, my Tribal Chief?”

Reigns paused, sneered, and simply stated, “Jan. 27.” That date falls on a Monday, which means he’ll make another appearance on Raw. He then entered a room featuring the logo for WWE’s upcoming video game, WWE 2K25. Meanwhile, WWE Games updated its X profile picture to showcase the same logo.

Fans may learn more about Reigns and his involvement with WWE 2K25 then, but with the Royal Rumble just five days later, Reigns could also announce his entry into the Rumble match. Whatever he decides, he’s earned the right to call his shots, having reclaimed his spot at the head of the table.
