Sony Pictures has announced the long-awaited sequel to the 2013 sci-fi epic After Earth. Titled After Earth 2, the sequel will see Will Smith and Jaden Smith reprising their roles as Cypher and Kitai Raige, venturing into uncharted territories on a humanity-reclaimed Earth.

The film is set to hit theaters June 19, 2026, marking a bold return to the franchise that has gained a dedicated cult following in the years since its release. Set 15 years after the events of the original film, the sequel follows Kitai Raige, now an experienced ranger, as he returns to Earth on a mission to secure humanity’s future.
