The story follows Richard Rider, a high school student who becomes the last surviving member of the Nova Corps after a catastrophic event destroys their home planet, Xandar. Tasked with wielding the Nova Force, Richard transforms into Nova, the human rocket, and must learn to harness his powers while defending Earth and the galaxy from an escalating Kree-Skrull conflict.
