Clues from Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan’, indicate she is prepping for a “brand-new solo career” a body language expert has claimed.
The long-awaited Netflix show is set to be released on January 15, with Meghan and the streaming giant promoting a teaser trailer for the show on their individual social media platforms.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, body language expert, Darren Stanton claims solo cooking project is the “beginning of a new era” for the Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥.
He explained: “Harry is not in this really in any way. It’s clearly her solo project. She comes across extremely confident with her body language, smiling a lot. She’s making her focus very clear, which is doing projects on a solo basis.”
Coming across on camera as “uber confident” and “excited”, Darren claims Meghan “is almost signalling that she is prepping herself for a brand-new solo career.”
In recent months, the pair have explored individual initiatives, marking a change from previous joint appearances. Meghan’s upcoming Netflix show will include eight 30-minute episodes featuring appearances from celebrities such as actress Mindy Kaling and former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.
The news comes a day after the Duchess returned to Instagram under the account @meghan. She posted the trailer on her new Instagram account, writing: “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it.”
Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, makes a subtle but brief appearance, with the two hugging as they hold drinks on a sunny outdoor patio.
Speaking of the couple’s embrace, Darren also added: “Often we see Harry get the attention when they’re together, but here, it’s focused on her. We don’t see any signs of fear or frustration from Meghan, she’s very happy.”
He added: “In the trailer, she’s coming across relaxed and happy, and in a state of enjoyment at being the centre of attention.”
A unique point made by the body language expert is that Meghan’s friends do not seem to “get their hands dirty” in the clip, suggesting Meghan is doing most of the baking and cooking and not letting her friends get too involved.
He further explains: “If you notice, a lot of cooking shows, it’s interactive, you often have the guests doing things too. However, she seems to be doing everything. Her gestures and the way she’s carrying herself, she comes across very dominant.”
Since Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and moved to California, the pair started a production company and charitable foundation and pursued various media ventures.
In April 2024, the couple’s media company, Archewell, said two new series were in production, one celebrating “the joys of cooking & gardening, entertaining, and friendship” (now known to be ‘With Love, Meghan’), and another exploring the world of professional polo which aired in December.
Polo, however, failed to make the top 10 Netflix list in Britain, America, or globally, after it was released on the streaming platform.
