The movie, which is scheduled to open in theaters on November 8, 2025, was formally announced by Lionsgate, who promised an action-packed extravaganza with more stakes than ever before.

This time, Banning faces his most formidable challenge yet. When a coordinated cyberattack cripples global communication networks and plunges nations into chaos, an elite terrorist faction exploits the opportunity to target world leaders at a secret United Nations summit. Joining Gerard Butler are franchise veterans Morgan Freeman as President Allan Trumbull and Piper Perabo as Leah Banning, Mike’s steadfast wife. New additions to the cast include Idris Elba, portraying a mysterious MI6 operative, and Ana de Armas, who plays a skilled hacker with ties to the terrorist organization.
