EDEN (2025) Teaser Trailer | Ana de Armas, Sydney Sweeney, Vanessa Kirby

Whether on purpose or not, the movie is hilarious. Eloise sings opera at a dinner party while the others watch in discomfiture and annoyance; Margaret informs Eloise that even though the evening was a complete failure, they still had a great time. As the movie progresses, these characters—whom we love to hate—become uncannily worse. Even at the slower parts of the movie, it’s thrilling to watch. Howard lets them get as wild as crazy as he can. The icing on the cake is the ridiculousness of it all.

Eden begins to pick up when de Armas’ Eloise shows up, though it takes a while for the film to settle into a groove. Once it does, the petty drama is at an all-time high and the film can be quite a spectacle. Since there are different accounts of the same real-life story, Eden falls into the trap of oscillating between one group and another. Eloise is actually the uniting factor, and the film would’ve been far less interesting without de Armas.
