Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers have hit a rough patch in December. The 10-6 Steelers have lost their last three games and have one final game against the Cincinnati Bengals to close out the season on a strong note.
The Steelers clinched a playoff spot a few weeks ago but the AFC North is still up for grabs. After being defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day, the Steelers have had a few extra days offs which was needed after three games in 11 days.
Russell Wilson gave a glimpse as to how he was spending his Sunday. In a post on Instagram, the Steelers quarterback shared a selfie alongside his son, Win, who was sitting on his back while he was lying on a massage table.
On HBO’s “Hard Knocks”, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback documented the treatments he does each week to prepare his body to take the field. Swimming each morning, red light therapy, and massages throughout the week are some of the ways he ensures he is prepared throughout the regular season.
Russell Wilson is confident that Steelers can rebound after 3 game losing streak
Russell Wilson had the Pittsburgh Steelers rolling since he took over as starter in Week 7. The Steelers may have clinched a playoff run but they lost the lead in the AFC North to the Baltimore Ravens and playoff seeding is also up for grabs. With one final game remaining against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Steelers will need to bounce back before they hit the postseason.
Russell Wilson told reporters this week that he has confidence this week that his team can turn it around.
“I think it’s going to be all about us making plays, staying on schedule. I think that’s the name of the game, especially offensively. We’re going to have to be able to do that, and moving forward, obviously, we’ve got a big one at home next week, and that one is going to matter to us in a lot of ways,” Wilson told reporters.
A home game against an AFC North division rival is the ideal way to turn things around for the Steelers before the postseason.
