The proposed fight between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul in India is reportedly not yet a done deal.
Earlier this week UFC legend McGregor claimed that he will face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.
McGregor dismissed speculation that he had been set to fight Georgian-Spanish fighter Ilia Topuria.
‘The rumours of a bout with [Topuria] are false,’ McGregor wrote on X on Tuesday.
‘I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambrani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.
‘I have agreed.

‘I will then seek my return to the Octagon’.
McGregor is poised to make his eagerly-awaited return to the Octagon, having not fought since successive defeats to Dustin Poirier in 2021.
However, journalist Ariel Helwani suggested that the Ambani family’s main target to be McGregor’s opponent was in fact Logan’s brother Jake.
According to Helwani, it is not yet finalised that McGregor and Logan Paul will face each other.
There have been suggestions that a fight between Jake Paul and McGregor could still happen.
Jake Paul defeated 58-year-old Mike Tyson in Texas last month.
Speaking on The Boys In the Back podcast, Helwani said: ‘My understanding was the first choice is we want Jake Paul. We want to be in the Jake Paul business, we want a Jake Paul fight here in India.
‘And so then the top choice was Jake Paul versus Conor McGregor, that was the pie in the sky idea. That’s why Jake Paul tweeted once all of this came out. Now it all makes sense.

It is claimed that the Ambani family’s preference all along was for Jake Paul to fight McGregor
Helwani explained that the Ambani family’s preference for Jake is due to him having established more of a reputation as a boxer.
In addition, Helwani stated that Logan Paul admitted that it is true that the Ambani family have a preference for Jake.
He said: ‘This is not me trying to take a shot at Logan or anyone else. My understanding was the top choice was Jake just because Jake has become more of a boxer as opposed to Logan who last fought against Dylan Danis.
‘I spoke to Logan and there’s validity to that, hence the eye emojis. I was told by multiple parties that Jake is the one that they want to be in business with.’
