Tyson Fury weighed in a massive four stone heavier than Oleksandr Usyk at the weigh-in for their rematch on Friday.

Fury and Usyk will meet in an illustrious second episode of their heavyweight rivalry tomorrow night in Riyadh, six months on from the latter’s split decision victory in May.

For their opening clash, Usyk tipped the scales at 223 lbs [15st 13lbs] with Fury considerably heavier at 262lbs [18st 10lbs].

But when hitting the scales for a second time ahead of their sequel in the Middle East, Fury weighed in much heavier at 281lbs [20st 1lb].

But it was Usyk who elected to come in narrowly heavier on this occasion, weighing 226lbs [16st 2lbs].

It meant Fury weighed in over a stone heavier, but he did have full clothes on the scales.

Usyk also had a full outfit on so it is unclear exactly what optimum weight the pair will reach come tomorrow night’s fight night.

The face-off was nowhere near as long as yesterday, neglecting to take the 11 minutes he took yesterday at the press conference.

Fury had a simple one word message for Usyk after the pair weighed in, shouting ‘War’ as the prepare to do battle.

There is a staggering 55lbs difference between the pair, an indication that both fighters could be adopting different approaches.

Rumours suggested Fury would come in at close to his career heaviest, and that is exactly what he has done, with a stoppage likely to be his main aim during his revenge mission.

Both fighters had little to say, but Fury’s promoter Frank Warren was keen to preview the fight.

He pointed out yesterday’s face-off as a sign that things will be history-defining in the gladiatorial ring tomorrow night.

“It’s been amazing, we’re one day away from what I think will be one of the best fights we’ve seen,” he said.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. It shows the intensity of both guys.

“Whoever looked away first, gave the other the incentive.

“I’ve never seen such intensity for a fight before.

“This is a different Tyson Fury. We’ve never seen him so serious.”

Fury will be gunning for revenge having been handed his first career defeat last time out.

A win for the Briton could see him set up a huge trilogy with Usyk in 2025, with Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh likely to make an immediate offer.

Victory for the Ukrainian will cement his place as the top name, and could lead to him hanging up the gloves.

But he could also be tempted back down to cruiserweight, where he also previously reigned as an undisputed champion.

Although the ‘Gypsy King’ is confident he can have his hand raised this time out, and has produced a brutal verbal plan to get the job done.

He said: “I’m going to dish out a whole lot of pain.

“I’m going to put this ****** into the hurt locker that’s for sure.

“I’ve got nothing to say apart from there will be a whole lot of hurt in this fight.

“That’s all I got to say. Talking’s been done. The first fight I talked, I joked – all my career – this time, I am serious.

“I am going to do some serious damage. Watch me go to work.”
