In the as-yet-unconfirmed Thor 5, Marvel Studios would profit from utilizing the original idea for the first Thor film in the MCU. Though not all of these films have been well acclaimed, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is now the only MCU character to have earned four standalone films. Although Thor: Ragnarok was widely praised, all of Thor’s previous live-action films have drawn criticism for different reasons. The somber, austere tones of the hero were attacked for Thor (2011) and its follow-up, The Dark World (2013), but this was nearly as common.
Since his debut in 2011, Thor has become an Avenger, a King, a gladiator without his hammer and a Guardian of the Galaxy, and he has now embarked on a new adventure as the adoptive father to the resurrected daughter of Gorr the God Butcher, Love. Thor: Love and Thunder is the hero’s lowest-rated project, however, which has left his future in the MCU uncertain. Chris Hemsworth has teased his return in the MCU’s possible Thor 5, and it would be great to see this unconfirmed project take Thor back to his roots.
