CM Punk vs Seth Rollins will finally happen on the premiere of WWE RAW on Netflix next Monday, January 6, 2025.
From the first minute that CM Punk made his return to WWE in November 2023 , Seth Rollins made clear his dislike of the man from Chicago , of whom he had already spoken in the past for the darts he threw against the company on repeated occasions when his first stage concluded. This situation led to a series of confrontations that were aimed at a confrontation at WrestleMania XL , but due to the injuries of both superstars at the beginning of 2024, plans changed and their paths had to separate for a long time.
Once CM Punk returned after concluding his great rivalry with Drew McIntyre, it didn’t take long for him to be confronted again by Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins then recalled that he always idolized CM Punk, but never reached out to him once he left WWE. Afterwards, he failed everywhere he went, burned all his bridges to success, and only came back when money convinced him to do so. Rollins respected the man from Chicago, but later realized that he was actually a fraud. Seth Rollins concluded by recalling that everything Punk did, he has done twice and has something CM Punk will never have: main eventing WrestleMania.
CM Punk showed up to WWE RAW ( December 16, 2024 ) somewhat upset because he now had Seth Rollins on his mind, he was willing to make the latter appear after telling him that even if he put on some wrestling boots, it couldn’t be him. Also, he didn’t think he had the same guts as Drew McIntyre to be able to stop him. Rollins, for his part, appeared in the audience to try to see the Chicagoan from another perspective, but he still saw him as stupid. Punk thought it was right that Rollins saw him for what he is, a fan, but Seth was not ashamed of this because he was among the audience that entertained in Punk’s absence, and finally Rollins made him explode by reminding him that he would never main event WrestleMania.
“The Best In The World” and “The Visionary” exploded to attack each other in the crowd, causing chaos in the stands at TD Garden in Boston. Both were separated after seeing the presence of several WWE referees and producers, until they were finally able to control them after several minutes.
