Kevin Owens throws shade at CM Punk and AEW’s Adam Page at WWE RAW Netflix kickoff show

WWE RAW is set to debut on Netflix on January 6, 2025. At the kickoff show, Kevin Owens took the opportunity to throw some shade at CM Punk and AEW’s Adam Page.

After attacking Cody Rhodes at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and stealing his title belt, Kevin Owens showed up at the Netflix kickoff event. Despite not being invited, he had a lot to say.

During his back-and-forth with Michael Cole, Owens said something that CM Punk and AEW’s Adam Page fans would understand.

Kevin Owens loves his moveset

While Owens cut his promo at the show, security was called to escort him out. He was not invited and was stirring the fans. As he walked out, he said: “I have the best moveset.”

Recently, AEW’s Adam Page threw a subtle jab at Logan Paul for stealing his moveset. Fans quickly made a comparison video that proved Page was telling the truth. Page said: “I hope the next person they give half my moveset to is at least kinda cool.”

During an interview with Digital Exclusive, Punk told Jackie Redmond and Peter Rosenberg about not liking the term moveset. This took place at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and it could have been a response to Page.

He said: “It’s garbage. If you say that, you’re an idiot! Especially if you’re a wrestler, and you say ‘moveset,’ That 100% tells me you don’t know what the hell you’re doing.”

It is no coincidence that both men mentioned the term moveset and Owens had to claim he had the best. Fans were quick to spot this and praised Owens for his recent heel work.

Owens gets cheered, while Cody Rhodes gets booed

After Owens hit Rhodes with his Package Piledriver, the same one that took out Randy Orton, Rhodes needed medical attention. While he was being taken out of the arena, fans chanted, ‘you deserve it.’

While this seems odd since Rhodes is the babyface and Owens is the heel, fans have seemingly turned on the WWE Undisputed Champion. One of the reasons is Rhodes used a steel chair to retain his title at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Moreover, when Owens claimed to be the champion at the kickoff show, he was met with a wave of cheers despite Cole trying to get him booed. Fans have been divided on Rhodes’ reign as champion and this feud with Owens is turning them against Rhodes.

Many fans have speculated that this could be where Rhodes’ heel turn begins. While some WWE legends believe it will not happen, fans are still hopeful.
