Drew McIntyre is set to face Sami Zayn at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event but had an explosive interview where he didn’t hold back ahead of this show.
After facing CM Punk in a losing battle at WWE Bad Blood, Drew McIntyre wasn’t seen until last week’s episode of WWE RAW. He returned and attacked Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. This week, it was announced that his first match would be at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show.
Ahead of that, he joined the Busted Open podcast crew to drop an explosive rant on WWE trolls online.
Drew McIntyre is done pleasing the internet
McIntyre appeared on the Busted Open Holiday Party livestream. During the interview, he cut an explosive rant about his journey and what he thinks of the fans.
He said: “I gave and gave and gave, but as far as wrestling on TV is concerned, I’m going to take and take and take. The lack of contact and the look on my family’s face, realizing everything that I’ve missed, that’s why I’m just going to take from now on.”
“As far as I’m concerned, when it comes to the internet, I don’t give a f*** about your opinion.”

He shared the video on his X account with the caption: “F*** you for making me do this.” This could have been directed at the Busted Open panel.
McIntyre laid out his plans after retirement
During the interview, he also talked about what he would do after retirement. He said: “When I leave this industry, I won’t be one of those guys chasing that last paycheck, chasing that last shot of glory.”
“Please remember me? No. When I leave and retire, I will have accomplished everything.”
“It doesn’t matter if you’re Mark Henry, Bully Ray, Tommy Dreamer, Drew McIntyre, or Stone Cold Steve Austin—when you’re gone, they move on. They forget. It s****, but it’s true.”
Fans have responded well to McIntyre’s heel run in 2024, and it seems he won’t stop anytime soon. If this interview indicates anything, it could be that the Scottish Warrior will be more dominant than ever.
