Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois have been shortlisted ahead of the 2025 British Boxing Awards.
In what has been a seismic year for heavyweight boxing, IBF world champion Dubois has emerged as its new star after his crushing victory over Joshua at Wembley Stadium in September.
Joshua began the year in thrilling fashion with a devastating knockout win over Francis Ngannou but after defeat to ‘Dynamite’ Dubois, is plotting his return to the top.
Fury meanwhile suffered the first defeat of his professional career in May, beaten by Oleksandr Usyk in their historic undisputed title clash. ‘The Gypsy King’ has the chance to secure his revenge and sign of 2024 in style when they meet in a rematch on 21 December in Saudi Arabia.
Josh Kelly, Lawrence Okolie, Joshua Buatsi, Chris Billam-Smith, Dennis McCann, Fabio Wardley and Nick Ball have also been nominated for the Boxer of the Year award at the inaugural ceremony, taking place in London on Friday 28 March.
Ireland’s Katie Taylor leads the nominees for Female Boxer of the Year award. The Wicklow superstar is coming off a sensational victory over Amanda Serrano on the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul card in November, defending her undisputed super-lightweight crown.
Rising star Caroline Dubois, sister of heavyweight champion Daniel, is also among the nominees.

Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn are up for the Outstanding Contribution to the Sport of Boxing award along with Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority who is responsible for staging some of the biggest fights that have taken place in the region.
It will be the first time that the boxing industry will be recognised at one flagship event.
The event, sponsored by Applied Nutrition, will be hosted by boxing legends Ricky Hatton and Nicola Adams.
‘This is an incredible shortlist,’ Adams said. ‘The British Boxing Awards will shine a light on the people and organisations contributing to the phenomenal growth of the sport. Boxing champions, both in and out of the ring, will be recognised and commended for their work in the sport.’
