Real Madrid players and coaching staff will enjoy the shares of a £3million bonus pot if they beat Barcelona in Sunday’s El Classico Super Cup final clash, according to reports.
Carlo Ancelotti‘s superstar-packed squad already celebrated LaLiga victory over their long-term rivals earlier in the season and will be aiming to cash-in again this weekend.
The two Spanish giants will meet in Saudi Arabia where the competition is being played after both came through testing encounters to qualify for the glamorous final.
Madrid are favourites to win the encounter given their superior form both domestically and in European competition this season, with the pair currently separated by seven-points in the Spanish top-flight.
Such is the club’s determination to beat Barcelona on the global stage in the Middle East that Madrid president Florentino Perez has put together an eye-watering bonus pot for his players and staff.

Barcelona manager Xavi remains confident that his side can overcome Madrid in Sunday’s final
Despite, Barcelona’s indifferent form this season, the reigning LaLiga champions are confident of pulling off a shock victory according to manager Xavi.
‘Real Madrid are better than last year. They’re a super-team, but we’ll try to dominate them and play them on a one-to-one basis. We won’t change much, and we’re very motivated,’ he said during his pre-match press conference.
‘(I am confident of winning) because of our way of playing, our methodology, and our way of competing against Real Madrid. We did it here last year and we did it in the Clasico earlier this season until the 60th minute.
‘That’s where the game has to go, to dominate it and to take more away from them. Let our DNA be seen more than ever. We’re extra motivated and it’s time to show our good game.’
