A strange argument concerning the realism of people in Grand Theft Auto 6 repeatedly reappearing at hospitals has been sparked by a fan. This cliché is by now rather common in the series: respawning is handled in a reasonably immersive way, and the location of the respawn depends on the player’s location and how they ended the game. If the police arrest them, they leave the closest police station; if they pass away, they leave the closest hospital.
But, as Reddit user deep_fried_cheese points out, some injuries are just too much to walk away from. They argue that constantly respawning at hospitals is actually bad for immersion in GTA – if the player falls out of a helicopter 2,000 feet in the air, are they really expected to believe there’s anything a hospital could do for them ?
