This was demonstrated by the brave dog Morocho, an Argentine mastiff who is now an icon in his country. This animal risked his own life to achieve something almost impossible: defeat a puma to save his two little owners. Learn the story below.
Morocho: the dog that became an icon in Argentina
Antonio Nores Martinez is the doctor who developed the Argentine Dogo , a very loyal and strong breed of dog. His grandson Ulises D’Andrea Nores is the owner of Morocho . He, along with his wife, family and friends, often go to a farm, where they have a breeding facility for these dogs.
On a day they will never forget, back in 2008, their two daughters went out to look for fruit. They knew that the best and tastiest fruit was at the top of the trees, so they decided to climb some. They were terrified when they saw a puma in the branches.

This feline is one of the largest and most dangerous predators in South America , and can weigh up to 100 kg. The girls ran as fast as they could; the big animal was chasing them. Fortunately, they were not alone.
Morocho realized what was happening and went to the rescue. With all his strength, the dog faced the predator. Despite the large wounds he received, the dog emerged victorious and managed to save his owners. It took 10 days for Morocho to recover. He is now an icon in his country for his heroic action.
