Derek Carr’s move to New Orleans may have reunited him with head coach Dennis Allen — who initially drafted him into the NFL with the Raiders in 2014 — but it also meant leaving Las Vegas behind.
Just a few short years after relocating to Vegas following the Raiders’ move to Las Vegas in 2020, Carr signed with the Saints in 2023, making New Orleans his new home. Since he’s agreed to a four-year contract, he likely realized that that’s too long for his Vegas mansion to sit empty, and has put the home on the market.
The NFL quarterback has just listed his Las Vegas home for sale, an elegant 5-bedroom house with a 1,000-square-foot guest house, a resort-like backyard with two pools, and a full-size sports court.
Freshly listed for $8,990,000, the property is repped by Stan Hicks with Coldwell Banker Premier Realty in Henderson, NV.
Our sources tell us that Derek and his wife, Heather, were the original owners of the home, buying it back in 2019 while it was still under construction. That means that many of the finishes we see were handpicked by the couple — and it looks like the two have outstanding taste.

At the time, the house was still under construction, which allowed Derek and Heather to customize their new Las Vegas residence. They chose the high-end finishes, and added the landscaping, pools, retaining walls, sports court, and casita/guest house to turn it into a private “compound.”

Set on a 0.77-acre lot on the outskirts of Las Vegas, the main house is a Modern Tuscan Transitional home with 5 bedrooms, 5 full and 2 half baths, with each bedroom having its own en-suite.
The house also features a dedicated office space, a media room, a sports area with a state-of-the-art golf simulator, and a home gym/yoga space.

Nods to Derek’s stellar career

From the massive sports court outside to the NFL-themed home office, the house has quite a few tributes to the player’s successful career.
Carr — who holds several records for the Raiders, including most career passing yards and touchdowns — has been selected to the Pro Bowl multiple times, recognizing him as one of the top quarterbacks in the league.

But the most enchanting bedroom, by far, is the room we assume was reserved for Derek’s daughter, Brooklyn Mae.
The youngest of four (Derek and Heather are also parents to sons Deakon Derek, Deker Luke, and Dallas Mason), Brooklyn Mae had a charming princess-themed room complete with its own mini-closet.

The casita on the grounds of the property adds another 1,000 square feet of living space, including 2 bedrooms with ensuite baths and walk-in closets.

A long list of amenities

Much like other celebrity homes, Derek Carr’s house comes with a plethora of upscale amenities, including a media room, a sports area with a state-of-the-art golf simulator, and a home gym/yoga space.
But those are just the indoor ones. The outdoor space is where this Las Vegas mansion truly shines.

Heading outside, we find a resort-like backyard with not one, but TWO pools – one with a slide and waterfalls — and multiple lounge spaces and dining areas. The space also has an outdoor BBQ and kitchen with peninsula seating.
One of the most notable outdoor amenities is a full-size sports court ingeniously tucked behind the guest house.
Part of a guard-gated community

Carr’s house is set in the guard-gated Estates at Southern Highlands, one of Las Vegas’ most sought-after communities. Nestled in the scenic foothills of Las Vegas, the community is a golfer’s paradise located just 15 minutes from the Strip and surrounding the acclaimed Southern Highlands Golf Club.
Future owners will have the option to purchase community membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club, a private club with a championship 18-hole course co-designed by Robert Trent Jones — golf’s most prolific architect — and his son, Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

Derek Carr was drafted by the Raiders in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent the majority of his career with this team, becoming a pivotal player and setting numerous franchise records, and followed the Raiders to Vegas in 2020.
Just three years after settling down in Sin City, Carr signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2023, agreeing to a four-year contract that prompted him to relocate his family of six to NOLA.
