Fans have torn into Kim Kardashian for wearing Princess Diana‘s iconic cross necklace, calling the fashion move ‘vulgar.’
The reality star, 44, donned the symbolic piece at the 2024 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday in Los Angeles.
She paired the antique amethyst necklace, worn by the late royal princess at a charity event in 1987, with a plunging white gown that showcased her ample cleavage, and other large jewelry pieces.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum purchased the Attallah Cross at a Sotheby’s auction for just under $200,000 in 2023, as she wore it for the first time over the weekend.
This is not the first time she has worn a timeless piece that once belonged to a prominent woman, as she donned Marilyn Monroe’s ‘Happy Birthday Mr. President’ dress to the Met Gala in 2022.
Soon after, she was accused of damaging the nude gown by The Marilyn Monroe Collection, who said the dress had ‘missing crystals’ while some were left ‘hanging by a thread.’
