As the much awaited sequel to the 2019 smash hit Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Universal Pictures has officially approved Hobbs & Shaw 2. Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw and Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs return for another thrilling, high-stakes adventure. The sequel, which was directed by David Leitch, who also directed the first film, attempts to boost the ante with exciting action, surprising character cameos, and brand-new, terrifying antagonists.
Set to delve into Hobbs and Shaw’s complex backstories, Hobbs & Shaw 2 will reportedly explore the duo’s uneasy partnership as they embark on a mission that takes them across continents. The storyline introduces a fresh antagonist, rumored to be portrayed by Keanu Reeves. Universal has kept Reeves’ role under wraps, but sources hint at a brilliant yet ruthless mercenary intent on reshaping the balance of global power.
