The actor from Punisher, Jon Bernthal, won his first Emmy in 2024, highlighting how much the MCU and the show alike are looking forward to his comeback in Daredevil: Born Again. Although Bernthal didn’t win an Emmy for his performance as the Punisher—rather, he took home the trophy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his work as Mikey in season two of The Bear—it is clear from the win that the actor’s skills have only grown stronger over time, raising the possibility of an MCU comeback.
Jon Bernthal had previously been nominated for the same Emmy in 2023, once again for his role in The Bear – though this time in season 1. His 2024 win adds another award to his collection, with the actor having already won Best Supporting Actor at the 2021 Detroit Film Critics Society for his role in King Richard, winning the National Board of Review Award for Best Cast with Fury in 2014, and gaining a Garland Award for Outstanding Acting Ensemble and an Ovation Award for Best Acting Ensemble in a Play for his role in Jon Pollono’s Small Engine Repair.
