Meghan Markle has revealed her true colours in a new statement as a key employee launches a new venture.

It has been reported that Ashley Hansen – the Global Press Secretary and Head of Communications for the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 – is launching her own public relations firm, Three Gate Strategies.

Ashley has worked for the couple for more than two years and while she is stepping down, she will continue to represent and advise the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥. The couple are said to be fully supportive of Ashley’s major move.

Following news of her departure, Meghan sent out a statement on behalf of her and Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 said: “We are so proud of Ashley, especially as a female entrepreneur.

“We look forward to having her focused expertise on our business and creative projects and her continued oversight of our communications team.

“My husband and I are excited to be alongside Ashley as she builds something extraordinarily special with her firm.”

Ashley had been approached by other clients seeking the high-quality counsel she had provided to Meghan and Harry.

Three Gate Strategies – which will specialise in communications and brand management for distinguished individuals and organisations – will become part of a portfolio of female-led enterprises and new business ventures that the Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 has supported since stepping down as a senior working royal and moving to the US in 2020.

As well as Meghan’s statement, Ashley also said: “I am incredibly grateful to The Duke and Duchess for their continued trust in me.

“Their unwavering support and belief in my new firm has been meaningful and is a testament to their leadership.

“I knew when they first hired me that they were giving me the opportunity of a lifetime and I couldn’t be happier to continue working together.”
