Retired NBA All-Star Zach Randolph Lists His Stunning Los Angeles Home for $8.5 Million

Retired NBA player Zach Randolph is parting with his Los Angeles home, which hit the market earlier this month for $8.5 million.

Randolph bought the home, located in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Encino, when it was brand new in 2019 for just under $5.2 million, using a trust, property records show.

The house’s modern style makes it distinctive for the area, which is mostly made of modern farmhouses, said listing agent Rod Watson of Distinct Concierge Real Estate. He shares the listing with his wife, Laura Watson, and his daughter Renecia Watson.

Spanning 8,500 square feet, the home has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, and includes a primary suite with a “boutique-style walk-in closet,” according to the listing. Wide-plank flooring can be found throughout, and most of the rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows.

It’s filled with amenities, including a sauna, a gym, a home theater, a full bar and even a panic room with a vaulted door, Watson said.

Glass pocket doors open to the backyard, which has both covered and uncovered sitting areas, a pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit and, of course, a full-size basketball court. There are also several balconies off the second floor.

Tall shrubbery surrounds the property, which is gated, for extra privacy.

The home is located within the gated community of Amestoy Estates, which Watson said often attracts home buyers from the entertainment and sports industries, as “you get a lot of bang for your buck,” compared with the much pricier Beverly Hills and Bel-Air, while still being centrally located.

Randolph, 43, played 17 seasons in the NBA, spending his best years with the Memphis Grizzlies, during which he was a two-time All-Star. Randolph’s jersey number, No. 50, was the first the Grizzlies ever retired.
