Prince Harry’s ‘Snide Remarks’ Shattered Princess Kate’s Trust, Fueling the Royal Rift

Prince Harry seems to have a feud with everyone in the Royal Family, including dad King Charles, brother Prince William, and his once friendly relationship with sister-in-law Princess Kate might also be irrevocably damaged.

The Duke of Sus𝑠e𝑥 and the Princess of Wales once shared a close relationship as Harry once described her as “the sister I never had”.

However, in the aftermath of his tell-all memoir Spare, in which he left no secret unturned, relations between the family members have grown increasingly tense.

And it was one specific “snide remark” that Harry reportedly made that broke the Princess of Wales’s trust and fuelled the royal rift between them.

According to one royal expert, this comment from the Duke of Sus𝑠e𝑥 likely means that Princess Kate will not be in any hurry to heal the feud with her brother-in-law.

Speaking of the rift between Prince Harry and Princess Kate, royal expert Katie Nicholl said that the pair used to be “very very close” before Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior working royals.

She said: “When you think of the personal revelations, and I think you can call them snide remarks made about Kate in Spare, Harry broke the one rule and that is staying silent on family matters.”

Speaking to the Sun, Ms Nicholl added: “While Kate and Harry used to be very, very close, there’s been a complete breakdown of that relationship.

“I don’t think Kate does angry. I think it is more a case of feeling very disappointed, very let down and feeling hurt knowing that she had no right of reply – and Harry knew full well she had no right of reply.”

Unlike his wife, Ms Nicholl added that Prince William was “very angry” at his brother for dragging Kate into it, feeling that she was “blameless throughout”.

Ms Nicholl added: “[Kate] acted very much as the peacekeeper, she tried to get the brothers back on an even keel and for Kate to be dragged into this mucky saga was upsetting for her and certainly did infuriate William.”

Also discussing Meghan Markle, the expert added: “I think it’s too far down the line for Kate and Meghan. There were some deeply personal revelations about Kate in the book.”
