Sylvester Stallone Sells Equestrian Home Outside L.A. to Rocker John Fogerty for $17.2 Million

Actor Sylvester Stallone and rocker John Fogerty now have something in common.

They’ve both called an equestrian abode in Los Angeles’s guard-gated community of Hidden Hills home. The on-screen tough guy sold the estate to the former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman for $17.2 million earlier this month, records with PropertyShark show.

Both Stallone, 77, and Fogerty, 78, shielded their identities in the transaction, using a limited liability company and a trust, respectively.

Stallone hadn’t owned the property long before putting it on the market. He paid $18.15 million for the property in February 2022, and began shopping the place around in December, less than a year later, with a $22.5 million asking price.

Tucked away behind gates at the end of cul-de-sac, the more than 2-acre compound “offers the best of both New England charm with California relaxed informality,” according to the listing that was held by Joanie Louis of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, who didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The five-bedroom main house is fitted with light-filled interiors, beamed ceilings and oversized windows. Over its roughly 9,000 square feet it boasts a garden room, a library, a media room and a wine cellar with a tasting room, the listing said.

Elsewhere on the grounds, a self-contained guest house is joined by a pool and spa, a four-car garage and an outdoor kitchen.

Stallone has made a number of adjustments to his real estate holdings over the last few years. That includes selling his Los Angeles mansion for $58 million—a big discount from the $110 million it was once asking—reportedly to superstar Adele; parting with his Tuscan-style villa in La Quinta, California; and snapping up a $35 million compound in Palm Beach, Florida.

Fogerty, meanwhile, is best known for heading up Creedence Clearwater Revival, the 1960s band he formed with his brother. The band’s hits include “Bad Moon Rising,” “Fortunate Son” and “Proud Mary.”

Earlier this year, he listed his Mediterranean-style mansion in Thousand Oaks, California, complete with soundproofed recording studios, for almost $20 million. The home is no longer on the market.

A representative for Stallone didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, and Fogerty couldn’t be reached for comment.
