Billy Joel’s Florida Dream Home Finally Sells – Who’s the New Owner?

The property has waterfront on both the ocean and Intracoastal sides.

The Piano Man is finally “Movin’ Out.”

After spending years on and off the market, Billy Joel’s South Florida oceanfront mansion has found a buyer. Located in Manalapan—a coastal town just south of Palm Beach—the home was first listed in 2018 for $31.9 million. It was listed for as much as $64.9 million, and most recently it was asking $49.9 million.

The New York Post first reported the pending sale.

Joel, 75, bought the property in 2015 for $22.1 million, public records show.

The Mediterranean-style mansion, which was built in 2010, spans more than 13,300 square feet, according to the listing with Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate. Angle didn’t respond to a request for comment.

There are nine bathrooms and 11 bathrooms, including a second-floor primary wing with a fireplace, dual bathrooms, walk-in closets and a view of the ocean. For additional space, there’s also a two-bedroom guest house with a kitchenette and a staff house, which also has two bedrooms and a kitchen.

Other features include a home theater, a pub room with a full bar, a paneled library, an air-conditioned 12-car garage, and a wine cellar with a wet bar and tasting area.

The 1.61-acre spread doesn’t just have ocean frontage, it also backs up to the Intracoastal, where there is a deep-water concrete dock.

The property embraces the beachfront lifestyle with expansive columned loggia, which has a summer kitchen, a dining area, a TV and a fireplace. A swimming pool overlooks the ocean, which is just steps from a back gate.
