Legendary Pictures has formally revealed Pacific Rim 3: The Final Stand, the thrilling third chapter in the kaiju vs. jaeger drama that started more than ten years ago, following years of rumors and fan excitement. When the film, which is helmed by Guillermo del Toro, opens in theaters in the summer of 2026, it will bring the conflict between humans and the terrifying kaiju to a spectacular end.

Del Toro, who helmed the original Pacific Rim in 2013 but stepped away from the 2018 sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising, returns to the director’s chair for what is being described as the most ambitious and visually spectacular entry in the franchise yet. The Final Stand will pick up where the last film left off, with Earth’s remaining jaeger forces preparing for one last desperate battle against the kaiju, whose return threatens to wipe out humanity once and for all.
