Prince Harry and Prince William may have been in the same room as each other at their uncle Sir Robert Fellowes’ memorial service last week, but sources claimed they were worlds apart after they failed to even acknowledge one another.

However, that might soon change as a source close to both Prince William and Prince Harry tells Express.co.uk that both brothers have expressed a wish to repair their fractured relationship.

“Harry is open to reconciling with his brother,” said the source. “He knows it won’t be an easy task but it is something that can be brought to the table.”

Meanwhile. the same source said: “William is not opposed to a reconciliation with his brother at some point, but things would need to start from scratch, a fresh start type scenario, where things from the past are not to be mentioned.”

Prince Harry flew from his home in the US to join his brother at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham for their uncle’s memorial last Thursday.

The service took place close to the Royal Family’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

A source told Express.co.uk at the time that both Prince William and Prince Harry were in attendance but didn’t speak to one another during the service and there is only one thing that can repair their shattered relationship – the Spencer family.

“Everyone is hoping that there might be some kind of intervention from Jane or Charles [Spencer] which will hopefully bring them back together,” said the source. “It will take some time but it is looking like a possibility.”

It was reported over the weekend that Prince Harry stayed at Princess Diana’s childhood home during his last visit to the UK.

The Duke of Sus𝑠e𝑥 stayed with his uncle, Charles, Earl Spencer, at the Spencer family’s ancestral seat, Althorp House, Northampton.

Prince Harry and Prince Willam first fell out around Christmas 2018, when Harry reportedly told William that he wasn’t doing enough to include Meghan in the Royal Family.

However, things reached a head in 2020 when the duke and his wife, Meghan Markle, stood down as working royals and moved to the United States.

Their move abroad was quickly followed by the release of the biography “Finding Freedom” which the couple supported.

That was quickly followed by an interview with Oprah Winfrey where the couple levelled a number of accusations at the Royal Family.

Soon to follow was the couple’s Netflix documentary ‘Harry & Meghan’ and the now infamous release of Harry’s autobiography, Spare.

In the mudslinger, Harry made a number of revelations about his brother, including that he pushed him to the floor during an altercation.

Harry also revealed details of a dispute between Meghan and the Princess of Wales over bridesmaid dresses – which reportedly made both women cry.

Since their move to the United States, the Sus𝑠e𝑥es have made very few visits to the United Kingdom.

The Duke of Sus𝑠e𝑥 visited the UK to see his father, King Charles, in February of this year and again for the Invictus Games in May. However, the duke was unable to meet with any of his family during the latter trip due to a “diary clash”.

Meghan has not been seen in the UK since the late Queen’s funeral in 2022.

Kensington Palace and the Sus𝑠e𝑥 camp have both been approached for comment.
