Scarlett Johansson made the transition from modern star to classic Hollywood siren, yesterday afternoon.
The blonde bombshell took her look one step further as she slipped into character on the set of new movie Hitchcock.
The 27-year-old was spotted dressed in costume as actress Janet Leigh, as she headed across the movie lot to start a day of filming.

Scarlett tried her best to keep a low profile as she shielded herself from the sun with a huge black umbrella.
The movie star was led from her trailer by a crew member as she shimmied across set passing through make-up and wardrobe.
Scarlett was dressed in a cream pencil skirt which she wore with matching heels and a yellow and black sleeveless blouse.

Although her head was mostly covered by the large umbrella, the star’s short curly blonde wig could just about be seen.
Johansson will play the role of screen legend Janet Leigh who starred in Hitchcock’s Oscar nominated Psycho.
Scarlett wasn’t the only actress seen on set today – Jessica Biel, 30, was also seen getting into character.

The actor was spotted on set leaving the make-up department partly in character as Vera Miles.
The Total Recall star was on the set of the big budget biopic with one of her dogs, but wasn’t fully changed.
