According to Fox News , in 2005, the media was abuzz with rumors that Johansson and Puerto Rican actor Benicio del Toro were entangled in the elevator of the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles.

Johansson responded: “If you’ve ever been in that elevator, you know you can only stand, you can’t do anything else. Besides, I don’t like doing private things in public.”

However, Benicio del Toro did not completely deny this. He vaguely said in an interview with Esquire : “Did I have 𝑠e𝑥 with Scarlett after the show? You know, I like that kind of thing. I don’t know, let people speculate.”

Johansson is currently happily married to Colin Jost. She gave birth to the Saturday Night Live star’s child in August 2021. Deadline confirmed that she is set to reunite with her best friend Chris Evans in Jason Bateman’s Project Artemis .
