Ciara and Russell Wilson have announced their engagement.

The Seattle Seahawks quarterback posted a video on Instagram on Friday while on a romantic getaway.

He wrote: ‘She said yes!!! Since Day 1 I knew you were the one. No Greater feeling… #TrueLove @Ciara’

Ciara then followed up by sharing a sweet photo of the magical moment when Russell proposed on bent knee as the sun went down in a riot of colours, writing: ‘I feel complete.’

Russell was seen kneeling in front of her and kissing her left wedding ring finger after, one can only assume, he placed the sparkling ring on her finger.

The singer couldn’t contain her emotions and was smiling with her face partially hidden by her braided hair while a gorgeous sunset lit up the sky and sea beyond.

Wearing a dark and floral print robe, Ciara managed to flash a toned leg as well.

She also posted the clip with the caption: ‘God Is So Good! I’m So Grateful For You @DangRussWilson. You Are Truly Heaven Sent, and I’m Looking Forward To Spending Forever With You.’

The pair have been dating since around April last year. They decided to remain celibate during their courtship, abstaining from 𝑠e𝑥 for religious reasons.

Ciara’s no-𝑠e𝑥 relationship hasn’t been favorably received by everyone and was a topic of contention on Kocktails With Khloe recently.

Khloe caused a stir when she said Ciara ‘should be having 𝑠e𝑥’ with her NFL star beau Russell Wilson despite their pledge to remain celibate.

On Thursday, the 31-year-old reality star backpedaled a bit on those words in a Twitter post.

Khloe said: ‘It’s so frustrating how people misconstrue my words! I love & adore Ciara! I respect her on many levels.

There were whispers of an engagement around Valentine’s Day although Ciara insisted she wasn’t expecting a ring from Russell.

‘You have to ask the guy that,’ Ciara told E! News, adding: ‘Let me tell you, no pressure. One day at a time.’

Especially when it’s not football season. ‘More date nights,’ Ciara said. ‘But, he’s the same guy no matter what day of the year, no matter what time of the day.’

Ciara must also be pleased that Russell adores her two-year-old son Future Jr – from a previous relationship with rapper Future.
