Sony’s Spider-Man Universe film series has been saved by Venom, and Venom: The Last Dance has the potential to be the most fierce of the three films. When Eddie Brock, portrayed by the amazing Tom Hardy, appeared in the first film, Venom rose to prominence in the Sony Spider-Man Universe in 2018. Since then, the SSU has experienced some problems with its previous films, such as Venom: Let There Be Carnage, all of which have gradually decreased box office receipts and received mostly unfavorable reviews (source: The Numbers).

Aside from the Spider-Verse animated movies, the SSU has suffered from a lack of strong characters and storylines that end up going nowhere, but Venom 3 could change that. The Last Dance will see Venom’s past catching up to him, with other symbiotes coming to Earth. But, if they choose to include Venom’s origin story with the incredibly powerful Knull, it could be one of the most impressive SSU movies of all time.
