Gunther accepts Randy Orton’s title challenge for WWE Bash In Berlin

Ludwig Kaiser is back to introduce Gunther as the NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion. “I am the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in history. I am the winner of the King Of The Ring and now, I am your new World Heavyweight Champion. Tonight, a new legacy begins, just wait to see what I do as World Champion. In this ring, I stand above anyone, I am ready for anyone and anything. There is no one who can catch me off guard, I am greatness personified , ” says Gunther in his first words as the new leader.

Orton mentions that he’s heeding the call for their rematch for something that could be like a modern day Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, and it’s fitting that Gunther calls himself a ‘living legend’ because he’s built a career as a ‘Legend Killer’; Orton challenges Gunther to compete at WWE Bash In Berlin 2024. Gunther comments that the voices in his head are telling him wrong if he thinks he can beat him, and since failing to beat Randy fair and square off left a stain on his record, the Austrian accepts Orton’s offer. The two agree to the match by shaking hands; Gunther ultimately tells Orton that there’s nothing that can catch him off guard; Randy responds that he doesn’t want it to be that way, he wants Gunther to see it coming.

Sheamus says that Ludwig Kaiser has somehow returned with a medical discharge and has demanded a match for tonight. The Irishman comments that all the young up-and-comers want a piece of him and that he will fight them all. Sheamus wants to fracture Kaiser’s ribs before putting Pete Dunne on the bench.
