adidas is commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the adiPURE 11Pro 2 with an incredibly limited run, also paying homage to the boots’ most famous wearer in the process: Toni Kroos.
The Real Madrid and Germany midfielder has won a World Cup and four Champion League titles whilst wearing adidas’ 11Pro design – a model that hasn’t been sold for the last decade.
Initially released in 2013, in a variety of colourways, the adiPURE 11Pro 2 was discontinued to make room for the line’s next instalment, but Kroos has donned the silhouette every season since then, inadvertently helping to give the boots cult-like status as a result his loyalty.
For the upcoming limited rerelease, adidas has dropped two versions of the 11Pro: an ultra limited version, designed to the exact specifications of Kroos’ boots, and a wider release version that recreates the original but with some modern alterations.
The limited-edition Kroos special includes the German flag design on the heel as well as the adiPURE III soleplate, originally released in 2009. To top off the perfect Kroos recreation, the boots will only be available in his size, 8.5.
The wider release does not include the German flag motif and arrives boasting the current COPA Pure soleplate. It does however feature the same re-stitched upper made from ultra soft and light Taurus leather, material that shapes to the foot – an element the adiPURE 11Pro 2s were known for.
Keep it locked to adidas channels to be in with a chance of copping what is soon-to-be one of the biggest collector items in football memorabilia history.
