Manchester United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Harry Maguire this summer.
The 31-year-old defender has been out of action since April following a muscle injury during a training session. He made just 31 appearances last season, and his continued struggles with fitness have ruled him out of Euro 2024.
TalkSPORT have now claimed that the club are looking to cash in on him for a second summer in a row. The defender was close to joining West Ham last year before a disagreement over salary saw the move collapse.
United have set their eyes on Bayern Munich’s Matthijs De Ligt as Erik ten Hag is seeking a reunion with the centre-back, who is reportedly valued at £42million. Maguire meanwhile, is thought to have admirers in Italy as he enters the final year of his contract.
Elsewhere, United are said to be working on the transfers of both Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood. According to journalist Graeme Bailey on the mufcMPB podcast, the club want both departures to be completed before the squad return for pre-season training next week.
Greenwood spent last season on loan at Getafe where he caught the eye of clubs including Barcelona and Juventus. With just one year left on his contract, United are keen to cash in to avoid losing out next summer. Sancho meanwhile, also enjoyed a season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after a public falling out with Ten Hag.
Despite such eye-catching performances for the German giants, United want to part ways with Sancho, who cost £73m in July 2021. He has been subject of interest from Juventus.
