Windsurfer Robby Naish and his ex-wife, Katie Naish, have sold their oceanfront Hawaii home for $15 million.

The five-bedroom, roughly 6,000-square-foot home on the north shore of Maui most recently asked $15 million, after first listing for $18 million in December 2020, said listing agent Josh Jerman of Hawai’i Life brokerage.

Mr. Naish, 58, has numerous windsurfing championship titles. Mr. Jerman and Ms. Naish declined to identify the buyers, who closed on the house Tuesday.

The Naishes, who both grew up in Hawaii, purchased the 73-acre lot for $1.85 million in 2000 and custom-built the home in 2005, said Ms. Naish, 57.

“I always wanted to build a house. We talked about it for years,” said Ms. Naish, an investor. “But we were traveling 10 months a year. Then I broke my ankle kiteboarding and was stuck at home, so I started looking for some land.”

The property has roughly a half-mile of coastline, Mr. Jerman said. The house sits on a cliff about 200 feet above the ocean, with paths that lead to the rocky shore below, said Mr. Jerman.

An 8-foot-high Tiki statue made by an artisan from Bali greets visitors as they drive up the palm tree-lined driveway of the home, which is decorated in the Hawaiiana style. The property has a gym, a bar, a media room, a home office, a formal dining room and a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast nook, said Mr. Jerman. Behind the home is a covered lanai and a 10-foot-deep pool with a waterfall and spa.

“It has really good energy,” said Ms. Naish.

The plot also has a solar field of over 100 solar panels and a detached 2,000-square-foot building where Mr. Naish kept his boards, said Ms. Naish. The property is grazed by cows from a nearby ranch, an arrangement that the buyers plan to continue, she said.

Mr. Naish is a member of the PWA Windsurfing Hall of Fame and the Hawaii Sports Hall of Fame. Mr. Naish couldn’t be reached for comment. The couple divorced in 2019 and are each now living elsewhere in Hawaii, Ms. Naish said.

Maui saw an increase of more than 200% in the number of sales over $3 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, compared with the same period in 2020, according to a report by Hawai’i Life.
