Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney Go Together on an Unusual Public Outing

A.k.a. how to style a plain white tee in two ways.

Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney, were spotted in New York City late last week on a rare public outing—and they made sure to coordinate their casual looks.

The couple, who welcomed the arrival of their first child earlier this year, wore the same signature wardrobe staple—otherwise known as a plain white tee—though they each styled the piece in their own way.

Maroney channeled downtown New York cool in a pair of navy blue trousers, Vans sneakers, and black shades. Meanwhile, the Don’t Look Up actress opted for easy elegance in a pair of light-wash wide-leg jeans, a scarlet button-up, strappy caramel Manolo Blahnik sandals, and tortoiseshell sunglasses. She also toted around a beige leather shoulder bag from The Row.

Lawrence and Maroney, who married in an ultra-private Rhode Island wedding ceremony back in 2019, have kept a low profile since the Oscar winner gave birth to their first child. Details of the child’s name, 𝑠e𝑥, and exact birth date have not been released to the public.

Lawrence previously talked about protecting her family’s privacy in an interview with Vanity Fair.

“If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, ‘Oh, my God, you’re expecting a baby,’ I wouldn’t be like, ‘God, I can’t talk about that. Get away from me, you psycho!’ But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can,” she told the magazine. “I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”
