The star put forth an impossibly chic take on the resurrected footwear trend
Believe it or not, jelly shoes have re-entered the trend cycle with full force—and they’re looking better than ever. (No, really!) Whether you care to buy into the resurrection or not, Jennifer Lawrence is walking the jelly revival walk, as demonstrated in a New York City sighting on Wednesday afternoon.
The No Hard Feelings star is known for her minimalist and refined wardrobe, with her off-duty style in particular often focusing on clean lines and neutral palettes. But she’s also not above packing a punch with some unexpected elements thrown into the mix here and there.
Yesterday’s wild card was a pair of jelly lattice cage flats, constructed out of sculptural PVC in a flattering shade of candy-apple red. Lawrence is a devout follower of the Row, so it’s no wonder she plucked these flats straight from the brand’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection.
For the rest of her outfit, the Oscar winner kept things fairly simple in a loose white button-up and breezy white trousers. She continued the red theme with a crimson Ralph Lauren baseball cap, then finished off the look with black square-frame shades from Lu Goldie and a long black tote bag.
Wednesday wasn’t the first time Lawrence repped the Row’s take on the resurfaced jelly shoe trend. She wore the same flats this past Saturday, styling the statement shoes in a similar palette, with a white T-shirt, bright red parachute pants, and a floppy black sun hat.
