Prieto dated Jordan for five years before tying the knot with the NBA legend seven months ago.
The new child will be born into a life of luxury and celebrity.
Michael Jordan added yet another ring to his illustrious collection Saturday—a wedding ring.
His Airness exchanged vows with his five-year girlfriend Yvette Prieto in Palm Beach, Fla., according to The Miami Herald.
According to the report, 500 family and friends were in attendance. As one might expect, the guest list wasn’t short on star power. Among the notable guests were former NBA stars Toni Kukoc, Patrick Ewing, Scottie Pippen, Ron Harper and former NBA analyst Ahmad Rashad.
Jordan spent much of his 15 seasons in the NBA playing with Kukoc, Pippen and Harper. Ewing was a fellow member of the famed 1992 USA Olympic basketball team with Jordan.
Considering Jordan’s estimated annual income of $80 million, according to Forbes, it’s no surprise that no expense was spared. Jordan bought a 40,000-square-foot tent for the ceremony.
The 50-year-old Jordan and 35-year-old Prieto were married in style at the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. According to the the Chicago Sun-Times, it’s the same church that Donald Trump married Melania Knauss in.
As Darren Rovell tweeted, Jordan brought his personal jet out for the occasion.
According to People, the all-time legend and part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats proposed to Prieto in December 2011 after the couple met in Miami in 2008. Jordan divorced his first wife, Juanita Vanoy, in 2006. He has three children with her: Jeffrey, Marcus and Jasmine.
The timing for Jordan’s wedding couldn’t be better. A blissful wedding was much needed after Jordan’s Bobcats finished the season 21-61.
