In a dramatic turn of events on WWE Raw, the longstanding alliance of Alpha Academy reached a breaking point as Otis and the rest of the group parted ways with Chad Gable.
The rift came to a head when Gable suffered a defeat against Braun Strowman, leading to a volatile confrontation with Akira Tozawa and an altercation involving Maxxine Dupri‘s crutch. Witnessing Gable’s behaviour, Otis intervened, physically confronting Gable before decisively walking away with the rest of Alpha Academy.
Subsequently, backstage tensions escalated as Otis was seen packing, signalling his departure from the group. In a heated exchange with Gable, Otis made it clear that they were done with Alpha Academy, a sentiment echoed as Dupri and Tozawa joined him in leaving the locker room. Gable, in response, asserted that they were expelled and vowed to achieve success in the Money in the Bank ladder match, aiming to outdo Otis by successfully cashing in the briefcase.
The disintegration of Alpha Academy had been brewing since WrestleMania, notably marked by Gable’s betrayal of Sami Zayn and his authoritarian behaviour towards the group. This strained dynamic culminated in the fallout at Clash at the Castle, where Otis prioritised aiding Dupri over supporting Gable, ultimately leading to Gable’s missed opportunity at the Intercontinental title.
