Leon Edwards gives Conor McGregor perfect score as he ranks UFC’s best and worst-dressed

Leon Edwards has strong opinions about his UFC rival’s fashion choices.

The welterweight champion considers himself the best-dressed fighter on the roster and believes the only man who comes close to him is MMA legend Conor McGregor.

“I’d give him a 10,” Edwards told Elz The Witch during the latest episode of the UFC’s ‘Day Off’ series.

“The only one who scores the same as me. For a press conference, what he wears is fine.”

Michael ‘Venom’ Page earned an 8 out of 10 for dressing ‘alright’, while undefeated contender Shavkat Rakhmonov scored slightly lower at 7 out of 10.

Edwards explained: “I’ll give him a 7 for wearing a suit and trying. The suit doesn’t look tailored.”

‘Rocky’ was less generous when ranking his last two opponents.

Colby Covington wore a colonial-era outfit with a wispy white wig and a ‘Make America Great Again’ cap ahead of his fight with Edwards in December.

The Englishman insisted he was never going to lose to Covington after seeing him dressed like that.

Edward added: “I’m not sure what he’s even meant to be, dressed up as some old-time American. What he’s wearing, and that hat as well?

“1 but if I could score him a 0, I’d give him a 0. I couldn’t let him dress like that and beat me. After he’d worn that, he’d already lost.”

Kamaru Usman suffered a famous head kick KO when he fought Edwards for the second time, and he was outpointed in a trilogy fight in March 2021.

Perhaps, Edwards was feeling sorry for his rival because he gave him a relatively good score after being shown a picture of ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ in a leopard print suit.

“I wouldn’t wear it, but fair play,” he said.

“I would never wear it. Nah, it’s not for me. I’d give it a 5. I’d never wear it myself.”

The 170lb king will defend his belt against Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 on July 27.

Edwards inadvertently poked Muhmmad in the eye when they fought in March 2021, and he thinks he may have caused permanent damage based on the American’s outfit choice.

“1 out of 10,” the fighter from Birmingham said after being shown a picture of his next opponent.

“Look at the blazer, doesn’t match the shoe. There’s too much going on.

“Does he have stylists? No, he’s picked that out himself.”
