Hollywood actress Christina Ricci has owned a house in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, since 2018, even though she hasn’t lived there in a short while. The house is tucked away in a beautifully landscaped cul-de-sac. Together with her now-ex-husband James Heedergen, she paid precisely $1.1 million for the home. Earlier this year, Ricci told SheKnows that she wanted to sell the house since she didn’t have the finest memories or associations with it after living through and ending an abusive marriage to Heedergen.
In late 2018 Ricci, who married hairstylist Mark Hampton in 2021, agreed to work with designer and TV personality Jeff Lewis to refurbish the home in preparation of selling it. The procedure was featured in the most recent season of Hollywood Houselift, his Amazon Freevee series. The suburban home has been freshly decorated in Lewis’ distinctive transitional traditional style and put on the market, seeking $2.249 million.
Similar to Lewis, Mercedes “MJ” Javid of The Agency is the listing agent for the charcoal-grey, two-story home with four bedrooms and four bathrooms that sits on a little over acre. Javid was a founding cast member of “Shahs of Sunset,” a cable channel series that ran from 2012 to 2021.
The formal living room is bright and airy, with a large fireplace surrounded by wood and marble accents, just a short flight of stairs rising from the fiery red front door. Wide-plank wood flooring, white walls that complement art and decorators, and an abundance of recessed lighting carry into the great room, which extends down the rear of the house and has a view of the backyard and swimming pool.
The room is filled with windows on three sides. The open kitchen features stylish appliances, modern brass fixtures, and worktops that resemble aggressively veined stone. The family room/media lounge at one end is brightened by grey and gold wallpaper, while the central dining area receives natural light from skylights. The great room is made cozier by a raised fireplace, and there are several doors leading to the backyard that make it simple to move between the indoor and outdoor living and gathering areas.
The master suite is located discretely on the upper floor, with three bedrooms and two baths on the main floor. The bedroom has a Juliet balcony that views out into the pool, and the bathroom features a standalone soaking tub, a glassed-in shower, and marble flooring with a parquet-de-Versailles pattern. The bathroom is decorated with high contrast black-and-white flower wallpaper.
The traditional kidney-shaped swimming pool is surrounded by charcoal flagstone terracing and is situated in a sunny clearing with lots of greenery that gives it a very private and secluded feeling. A little putting green and trails winding through the verdant slope rising above the pool.
For many years, Ricci has lived back and forth between New York and Los Angeles, owning a few properties in each city. She sold a townhouse in Brooklyn approximately a year ago for slightly less than $2 million, and she also sold a vintage hillside home in a popular Los Feliz neighborhood to fellow actress Sarah Chalke for $1.3 million two decades prior.
