The 2021 American supernatural comedy Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed by Jason Reitman, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Gil Kenan. Together with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver reprising their roles from the previous movies, it stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd. It is the fourth movie in the Ghostbusters franchise and the follow-up to Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989). It centers on a single mother and her kids as they relocate to an Oklahoma farm that they inherited from her estranged father, Ghostbusters II member Egon Spengler, and takes place 32 years after the events of Ghostbusters II.
