Following her purchase of DJ Zedd’s ultramodern estate last month, the singer of “All About the Bass” has now advertised an Encino home that she has owned since 2020.
After paying slightly more than $17.1 million for DJ Zedd’s superstar-worthy estate in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, Meghan Trainor, a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, has shockingly put her second San Fernando Valley property up for sale. It is listed with Justin P. Huchel of Carolwood Estates.
Trainor, who is well-known for her famous pop songs Lips Are Moving and All About That Bass, is requesting around $12 million for the opulent property. She and her spouse, actor Daryl Sabara of Spy Kids, paid rapper TMG Fresh $6.6 million for the property approximately three and a half years ago, in late 2020.
Originally built in 1998 but fully renovated from top to bottom during Trainor’s tenure, the white stucco structure is sequestered behind tall gates and hedges and features six bedrooms and eight baths in a little more than 14,100 square feet of multi-level living space. Also on the premises is a two-story detached guesthouse, which sports a gym on the bottom floor, plus a bedroom, a bath, a kitchen, and a living room up top.
Among the main-level highlights is an entry foyer boasting a double staircase, which flows to a pair of formal living rooms. A fireside family room connects to a gourmet kitchen, which is outfitted with a duo of islands, top-tier stainless appliances, and an accompanying dining area that has sliding glass doors spilling out to the backyard; elsewhere is an office space and a guest bedroom with its own bath.
The luxurious master retreat, featuring custom glass doors that open to a separate fireside lounge area with access to a private patio, two walk-in closets, and an opulent bathroom highlighted by dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a marble-clad shower, are among the five additional en-suite bedrooms located upstairs. A bonus room on the top floor is now being utilized as a playground, while a recording studio on the lower level with its own entrance is equipped with a kitchenette and a bathroom.
The park-like grounds cover slightly more than an acre and feature a new swimming pool with a spa, a waterslide, and a waterfall in addition to a sports court, a mini-putting green, a firepit, an al fresco dining area, and a sophisticated kids’ play area. There is also a large motorcourt and a carport with space for ten cars on the property.
Apart from the recently acquired and listed properties in Encino, the pair recently spent $3.1 million on a brand-new contemporary farmhouse-style property in the neighborhood.
